If you look at what is happening in America probably but I am not sure it would help.

America has shown us that there is a month's delay between any action and visible evidence of that action.

I judge the amount of lockdown we have by the motorway traffic and the number of cars parked at the train station. It's getting heavier, but it's been pretty light until now, despite all the press about breaking lockdown.

Therefore I wouldn't expect UK numbers to increase till August.

The data I have seen shows the numbers have stopped declining but not yet started to increase. I suspect things will remain flat or with localised outbreaks until the autumn

'For the past month the number of daily new cases has been falling week on week making this the first time the data has stopped falling. The data shows that the Midlands is now the region of England with the largest number with 716 daily new cases. This week's figures also point to the return of a slight North / South divide as the Midlands, North West and North East all now have higher numbers of daily new cases compared to the southern regions like the South West and London which have very low numbers'.

The deaths are people who caught coronavirus weeks or in some cases months ago. Hospital admissions and numbers of patients on ventilators continue to fall each week.

WHO is warning about the rise in cases in a number of European countries. With the announcement on the suspension of quarantine, we share this risk. It is clear that once community spread (re)commences the numbers can increase rapidly.

I don't think the government can do anything at this point.

There are even people who are prepared to excuse public defecation at present as reasonable because of lockdown and the strength of desire to go out right now. This mean it will be impossible to reimpose any restrictions until there is exceptionally clear evidence and/or the noisy segment of the public start baying for it.
