Childcare for 3 Yr old during Coronavirus

Hello everyone!
New to mumsnet so please do forgive me if I'm not following the etiquette with this post!

I'm looking for some advice on my situation as I can't find anything on Google about people in similar positions.

Myself and my partner tested positive for coronavirus early May. Assuming our daughter also "had it" but had no symptoms, a test was not available for her as she was under 5 (however I believe this has now changed).

Since lockdown I've been balancing childcare and working from home full time, mainly working evenings and during breakfast and dinner times while she is occupied.

My mother is retired and took care of my daughter prelockdown and this was the plan until September when she will go to preschool for half days.

My mother's house has no over 70's or people with underlying medical conditions and I am wondering if now that we had the virus, along with my mother wanting to look after her, we could revert back to our previous arrangement.

As I mentioned I can't find anything online about people in this situation and nothing on the gov website which leads me to think it's not acceptable as they don't know what risks still remain for both my family and my mothers house.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Jess

I think it's fine. Nurseries, childminders and nannies are all able to work, I don't see why this would be any different. If anyone asks just tell them she's your nanny.

I'm a nanny and have been working all thr way through. Non key workers. The rule was work from home if you can. If you couldnt go to work.
So just have your mother come to you and tell people she is paid childcare if they ask.
The government have been inconsistent with their advice.
Dont mix two households but nannies can work, crazy !!!
And btw I'm happy to be working super family etc

Thank you both very much. I'm torn if I'm honest. I can't get over the thought that if somehow we get it again we could pass it over :/

I've still been doing childcare all through this. The guidance was to limit settings used and no childcare by anyone vulnerable.

It was answered in the Q&As, necessary childcare is allowed.
