Anyone know what the R rate is now?

I am trying to make a final decision about sending DC to school on Monday. Anyone know what the latest R figure is and how this compares with previous weeks?

It has all gone very quiet!

0.7-1 on the 22nd
I believe it's different round the country .
I'm not sure how often the figure is published possibly weekly.

This allows you to see it by region:

Prevalence more relevant than R for that decision.

@DivaLasVegas

As Floatyboat said, prevalence is the key factor if you’re concerned about catching it.

For instance, if 10,000 have it and R is 0.4, 4,000 new people will be infected.

However, if 2,000 have it and R is 1, 2,000 new people will be infected, half the number above.

For prevalence, it is estimated that 0.25% of the population had Covid between 4 and 17 May.
