Email your MP if you feel strongly about mistakes being made. Please do.

You have to boo (or clap) because it said so on

Vitaceae · 26/05/2020 21:38

Saw it talked about on Twitter. What's the point? They don't care about us & I cba to waste a breath on him.

itsgettingweird · 26/05/2020 22:10

I have written to my MP.

But I'm not sure our dear attorney general will reply.

She did send me a Learjet today stating if anyone in the household has COVID symptoms then we must stay at home Grin

Chillipeanuts · 27/05/2020 20:33

Itsgettingweird

She sent you a Learjet? Wow. You must be incredibly important.
She was probably trying to save you having to drive to Durham.

Deblou43 · 27/05/2020 23:17

So childish

Chillipeanuts · 28/05/2020 09:08

Yep Grin

RainMustFall · 28/05/2020 09:52

Seriously pathetic.

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 28/05/2020 12:03

Crack on if you want to look like a petulant child who has to do what others on twitter/facebook tell you to.

I note there doesn't appear to be lots of praise for anything good the Govt implements such as the very generous measures of financial help with furloughing, loans etc. It is far more generous than most other countries. Boris Johnson doesn't intend to raise income tax and Vat or get rid of the triple lock for pensioners when people are back to work. We don't hear loads of posts commending him on that.

He even agreed yesterday to look into the situation where someone with leave to remain in the UK isn't allowed financial help. He said that isn't right for people who work here. He does care.

I wish more MNers would have a more balanced view. Slag the govt off if deserved but, equally, praise them when it is due. Being so negative all the time must be really draining.

Lumene · 28/05/2020 12:34

This is real life not a pantomime.

Deblou43 · 28/05/2020 13:16

@NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite

Well said!

knittingaddict · 28/05/2020 13:34

Every bit of me is cringing at this.

I think DC should go and I would love it if BJ went with him. I support the NHS too, but I didn't stand outside my house clapping for them and I certainly won't be booing for BJ.

knittingaddict · 28/05/2020 13:36

Also if you are going to do this ridiculous thing, don't do it on the same day as people are clapping for the NHS. Please tell me that it's at a different time, at least?

knittingaddict · 28/05/2020 13:41

Apologies, just seen that this was on Tuesday, not today. Did anyone do it? Heard nothing round here, but booing doesn't carry well, does it?

cyclingmad · 28/05/2020 13:52

Heard nothing not even in MSM.

@NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite 100% agree with your post.

As for OP your not the only one in that situation and maybe it's a wake up call to start thinking how to make sure you cam be more financially secure in the future, you know take a bit of responsibility and accountability. The first time I was made redundant it scared me enough to ensure that whatever I could save I would to build up a good enough buffer so I wouldnt ever have to stress again about how I'd pay my Bill's and ear if I lost a job.
