Quick way to clean shopping?

My mum is about to begin chemo soon and has been asked to be super careful (obviously). She spent ages wiping down her delivered shopping the other day and usually, I'd say don't bother but due to her situation, I understand why she's doing it. Is there an easier way to clean packages? Can she just give it all a spritz of anti bac spray or does it need to be more 'deliberate' than that? Thanks.

Technically, a spritz of anti-bac could cause an aerosol. It's best to use soap and water.

If she can forward plan and buy anything with a long shelf life in advance of needing them, eg tins, packets of pasta/cereal, she can just leave them in quarantine in a box for a few days, then only fridge/freezer food needs to be washed immediately

Fruit and veg can be tipped out of the packaging (wearing gloves) into a washing up bowl of Milton fluid for 20 mins then rinsed (read the instructions for the correct dilution). It's also a good idea to wash them to kill any bacteria from soil etc anyway.

Alternatively, anything that has outer wrapping that isn't needed to keep it fresh or is going to be used immediately can be decanted into something else wearing gloves and without touching anything with the packaging or the gloves eg tip biscuits into a biscuit tin, empty out crisp packets from a multipack of crisps or take out the inner bags of cereal before putting them in cupboards, butter into a butter dish, pasta into a kilner jar.
