Why is London so low now?

I understand why London got hit hardest and hit first by the virus but those reasons have not gone away. Why is it that the new cases there are reported to be a trickle now?
It's still over crowded, poor living conditions for many, heavy reliance on public transport etc etc etc

There was a small peak in overall deaths in late Jan but then it dipped early Feb to then begin a steep climb peaking early April. In the county I live in we were hit hard by flooding which pretty much put us in lockdown. The main city was pretty much closed down for nearly 3 weeks. Most of the nightclubs were closed and lots of events were cancelled. Even schools were closed due to transport problems. There was a virus spreading rapidly through the schools ( high temp with cough) in the weeks before half term. Again weather and half term curtailed it.
DS plays outdoor sport and for a period of 6weeks pitches were too flooded to play. So social contacts were significantly reduced.
Looking at the peak of infection and death a lot of people were contracting infection in early to mid March I believe the severe flooding and weather temporarily delayed the community spread over early Feb. We may have had community spread much early than thought.

Oh and I suspect I had Covid in mid Feb. I had spent a day in a large school doing a careers event. There were teenagers from all over the area mixing together. I started with the cough 5 days later.
I think we may be looking in the wrong place for immunity levels. It wouldn’t surprise me to find that a large proportion of secondary school children have already had it.
