Are any other preggos afraid to go out?

I live in central London and at 6 months pregnant am afraid to go out (apparently preggos might catch the virus more easily and it can cause complications for some). Is anyone else feeling like this?
Whenever I go out for a walk, even when I get up at 6am, there’s people about. 9/10 are very nice and keep their distance but with so many people living close together, I’m constantly on edge for the 1/10 people who don’t. Young male joggers in particular have been repeat offenders at jogging past me a few inches away (nowhere near 2m) and often running up behind so I can’t dart out of their way. It’s making me feel like I’m insane (like a germaphobe) and so angry (why is their unimpressed running route more important than my baby’s health ... also they are out for a run so why not just run around me into the empty road?). I’ve even shouted to some to please keep their distance next time. I’m worried with the new phase that people will be even less considerate.
Is anyone else feeling like this or - even better - have you found ways to get out of the house without being exposed? Any help appreciated!

I can totally understand your fear, I'm like this as well. Currently 29 weeks pregnant and on furlough, which protects me. My partner does all the shopping, so I don't have to go anywhere. I go to the park 3-4 times a week for 60 min walk. It's a vast 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve where we go walking and it's easier to keep distance although there's quite a lot of people walking there. My main fear is when I have to see the midwife or go to the hospital. My baby is due July 29th and my furlough runs out end of June. I offered to take one more month of furlough in July so that I don't have to return to work before birth, scared of catching the virus there. My company is reviewing this at the moment.
They say that pregnant women aren't more at risk than others, but there's lots of sad stories and only today I read that a 3 year old baby in Wales had died from the corona virus after the mother caught infected. I don't think they know a lot about this virus yet, it seems to be quite dynamic and we can't have a complete overview yet of which people are really at risk.

@Fiona1987 I really feel for you. It may be useful to share the RCM’s advice on occupational health for pregnant women with HR if you haven’t been able to already: www.rcm.org.uk/occupational-health-advice-for-employers-and-pregnant-women/. They clearly state significant risk after 28 weeks - I’m surprised your employer would willingly take on that kind of liability for the sale of a couple of weeks of work.

If it helps I’m at UCLH and went in a few weeks ago for a scan - it was so quiet. I saw maybe 7 other women there (usually there’d by about 100). Taking my own hand sanitiser was reassuring though as I’ve always hated communal stuff. My friend gave birth in March in hospital and both her and baby are well. It’s only anecdotal I know.

Good luck with you employers x
