What is going to be a "small" wedding?

Have read the Justice minister is examining "small" weddings getting the go ahead next month

Any predictions on what this will be - appreciate it's all ifs and buts until guidance (hopefully helpful in this instance!) Is published

10 or less, similar to funeral guidelines, which are different depending on the local authority.

Could be fun if everybody has to stand 2m apart and wear a mask.

The minimum number of people required is 5 (happy couple, registrar/priest/2x witnesses - ditto CP, though no religious version for that)

Funerals allow 10.

So anywhere between those two figures initially

Maximum of 10, including those who legally have to be there.

All abiding by social distancing.

I can’t imagine any Asian weddings that small, some households are more than 10 people! 😂

Probably 5 people, a legal wedding, can have the fancy ceremony and party later - mostly for those who wish to marry before living together or before their baby is born. We have a couple who should have married last month at church but won't live together until after they are married (very unusual for us, most the couples we marry have kids!)

I guess this is for Boris Hmm
