Switzerland say under 10s can't transmit it

This is old news but I wanted to ask if anyone knew more about this. Article here:

news.sky.com/story/amp/coronavirus-swiss-children-under-10-allowed-to-hug-grandparents-as-they-do-not-transmit-covid-19-11980568

Does anyone know if the Uk have commented on this? Would of course make a huge amount of difference and I just find it odd that Switzerland are confident in this fact, but no other country has said the same thing

That news article does not give the sources on which the Swiss authorities are basing their conclusions.

There is however a fair amount of good evidence that the risks amongst the u10s are lower than among older DC, and that is (presumably) part of the reasoning fior experimenting with that age group first in terms of schools reopening.

But I'm not sure whether there is a similar body of evidence about non-transmission.

(Presumably the working assumption is based on viral load?)

The lancet has research which says otherwise. The BMJ has research which says that children are not super spreaders and don’t pose a risk greater than adults as long as social distancing and good
Hygiene is maintained. I’m not sure how you enforce social distancing among small children.
