So I can see my mum and dad, outdoors, 2m apart but only one at a time?

Does that make even the slightest sense?

Sorry I meant mother in law (I call her mum as well). My mum died last week and feel as though I need contact.

Noidea - You wouldn't be allowed in her house but you could see her if you were outside keeping 2m apart.

Seeing family / friends during your exercise is no different than total strangers. Arrange to meet them at the park or something. People just need to use their common sense and not take the piss

It is different Theface because it increases you number of contacts and creates prolonged contact. You're going to see the other people at the park anyway. If you go with others, they are new, extra contacts.

So the guidelines say I can meet at 2m one person from external household. I must admit I am confused - I can go out and about or walk a dog and bump into people and have a chat (all
Social distancing) but can't meet more than one from my extended family? Where is the logic. I could see one in-law in the morning and the other in the afternoon. So then that's 2 trips out. More traffic etc
