Why can Phillip Schofield live in two different properties during lockdown?

Just read that PS, who had moved into a London flat, has travelled back to the family home for a game of Murder Mystery. Why do so many celebrities feel lockdown doesn’t apply to them?

I don't mind Philip but I can't stand the though of him sitting there on Monday with a faux sad face on when they talk about Coronavirus. He's shown himself to be a complete hypocrite.

Is it a Buffy the Vampire Slayer theme? His daughter looks spot on if so!

The photos of him are so cringe

For those asking, it was a week or so ago that it was in the papers he had moved into his own flat in London.

He posted a video of him clapping for the nhs that was taken from his London flat.
Now posted a photo of a party at his family home. I hope someone questions him up on this on Monday

But if he’s gone from a flat on his own as it’s closer to work then to family home he’s not mixed households so what’s the problem?

The flat doesn’t increase risk of contamination going to work in the first place does that so going from work to flat to family is no more risky than if he does work to family? Might not be in the “rules” but wouldn’t bother me

Pretty well established that obesity is a significant risk factor for poor outcome.

Not true. It is not people who are “obese”, it is people who are severely obese- those with BMI over 40.

It’s an important distinction so people don’t get overly scared!

As far as PS is concerned well he’s a cunt isn’t he so this doesn’t surprise me. I hope he gets a warning from the police.

Just read this in hello magazine:

One follower, however, quizzed him about the fact that he had been pictured entering his new London flat last month, yet he was now back in Oxfordshire. "Where did you get that I moved out?" Phil asked the follower, before adding: "Oh yeah, the papers," followed by a laughing emoji and a thumbs up.

So maybe he didn’t actually move out. Who knows? But I definitely wouldn’t necessarily believe what’s written in the tabloids.

Whether it bothers you doesn’t really matter. It’s what the Law says which is important.

He has a massive ego. This acts as a barrier to the virus which cannot penetrate its thick membrane.

oh i spose if he lives alone in his flat that is allowed, and i imagine the boyfriend of his daughter probably moved in

Maybe he lives in said flat during the week when he’s working to avoid too much travel and travels back to home at the weekends?

I feel sad looking at that photo. I can imagine her going ‘I’M FINE I’M FINE I’M FINE’ then going upstairs and screaming into a pillow.

At the end of the day it’s at his own risk but he is also putting his family at RISK.
The thing is the distancing measures are not just about minimising your risk on an individual level (although they also have that effect). They are about minimising transmission at a societal level.

So yes we can all say, I've considered the risk and I'm happy to take it. That's not the point, there is also the risk to society as a whole.

But anyway, he may not have moved out in the first place.

Since when was this said?

it's anyone who is overweight. The research shows that carrying fat affects the immune system. On a physical level, weight on the abdomen prevents the lungs from working correctly.

Are people trying to rush to the defence of anyone who is obese and say it's only the 'very obese'?

Delude yourselves if you wish, but at least read the science.

I think sadly this is how many people are behaving in that they're mixing with other people, they just aren't in the public eye.

For example, the row of neighbours across me all have families visiting/ staying with them and do not follow social distancing either.

Sadly , again the government will be blamed when there is a spike in infection rate in a few weeks.

What I also can't work out is that there are many people who complain lock down was too late, despite the fact that they haven't stuck to rules anyway so what they say means shit. and are now they are demanding lock down is eased.

You can't make it

You obviously haven’t read the science re Covid.
All the facts so far, state that it’s those with a BMI over 40 who are adversely affected. There was a whole segment on R4 programme “More or Less” looking at this. The conclusion was the media are scaremongering and not reporting the facts. (Surprise surprise).

(And my BMI is 20.4 -I don’t need to delude myself of anything)

Remember you have to take into account how many of the general population are overweight/obese/severely obese, then compare that to the figures severely affected by Covid.

I guess if he’s living alone normally the risks are fairly minimal rather than two families of several people mixing together, but yes he shouldn’t have done it. Terrible example for someone in the public eye!

If Boris and Carrie can do it then why should anyone else follow the rules?
