Anybody else struggling to sleep? I've been struggling with sleep for the past three weeks. I'll find it hard to fall asleep or if I do fall asleep straight away I'll wake up quite a few times during the night. I work at my local coop so theres added stress there. Just looking to see if anyone else is going through this.

Yes! It’s just horrible. Sleeping is the one thing I’m good at too.

I was fine for the first few weeks but am really struggling now. I’m awake until after 2am most nights and I’m exhausted.

I’ve ordered some Nytol online. My mom tells me it’s good. I think the total disruption of routine is mainly to blame.

I’m sorry you’re suffering too but glad I’m not alone! Nothing as isolating as being awake alone in the small hours of the morning!

So glad I'm not alone in this. I may have to order some myself. Anxiety can take anything from me....even my eating habits ...just not my sleep! Anything but that.

I've made a couple of posts about this op over the last few weeks
It's driving me mad.

I seem to have got into this awful routine where one night il sleep right through but for two nights after I'm still awake when the sun comes up Hmm

I've binge watched so much tv and sorted washing and ironing, cleaned downstairs etc etc as I'm literally wide awake.

We are pretty active anyway so spend most days doing garden jobs at the moment and fencing and dog walks etc etc so I don't sit down all day yet I get into bed and I'm wide awake

I've got some nytol in meds cabinet so going to take some tonight and see how I get on.

I’m massively struggling too. I Just read this article which ha some good theories as to why, and how to help with some of it to improve sleep quality. After reading the stuff about melatonin I’m definitely going to make more of an effort to go outside every day:

@marblesgoing I hope nytol helps you. I've just ordered some. And I'm the same, I'll have a few good nights and then a couple of bad ones that certainly affect work. It sucks. Can't wait till we are back in a 'normal' routine again.

@marblesgoing there is nothing as infuriating as lying there wide awake when the birds start singing and the sun comes up! I actually cry when I can’t get to sleep. It feels rotten.

Nicola128 · 04/05/2020 09:04

@Dyrne thank you for the article. I'm gunna try and go outside more too. I've not minded staying indoors but being cooped up all the time is just driving me crazy.

It's soul destroying isn't it Confused

I literally watch the sun come up and think well up I get Hmm

I'm outside a lot anyway but still doesn't seem to work every night for me.

The mind is a powerful thing unfortunately and once I get into bed it's like ooh let's spend the night ticking over and being wide awake Grin

I've got into this awful routine though because I'm then awake all day thinking il be knackered and sleep the next night but quite often my adrenaline kicked in by then and boom wide awake again.
