Yes my had approved was awful last week. Symptoms very similar to 😷

cheninblanc · 17/04/2020 19:11

Not my colleagues who called in sick.... Again. This time hay-fever 🙄. Apparently hers is the worst it's ever been, leaving me to pick everything up as usual

babychange12 · 17/04/2020 19:13

My hay fever this year has been very mild! Probably because the air pollution has gone right down

oldbagface · 17/04/2020 19:13

No. My daughter is full of it. Much worse than last week

GlamGiraffe · 17/04/2020 19:14

Hayfever is dreadful here. I've only ever had the odd sneeze, this year I can honestly say I feel really I'll from it. My son too plus loads of people in the area . I feel so grim today we were wondering if its something else on top.

FurForksSake · 17/04/2020 19:14

Nope, mine is awful, I'm hoping this rain damps it down a bit.

BayandBlonde · 17/04/2020 19:14

Nope mine had been bad. Much worse than previous years

40somethingJBJ · 17/04/2020 19:19

I’m worse today than ever! I’ve sneezed at least 30 times today so far and my nose is streaming.

ImPeckish · 17/04/2020 19:20

Mine is so much better this week! Finally my lungs feel clearer and I'm not waking up at night with an itchy throat.

GlamGiraffe · 17/04/2020 19:27

Quite possibly depends where you live and what your exact allergen is. I'm allergic to silver birch and the hot weather here coincided completely with the pollen time making it much worse if you are allergic to other things the heat at the time might affect it its tye same as the pollen bombs in the summer from grass pollen which are massively exacerbated by certain weather directly coinciding with pollen times

changemynamechangemynamewhen · 17/04/2020 19:35

I'm thinking I may have had covid last week as I had all the other hayfever symptoms I'm having this week but also really wheezy cough that made me light headed

Both me and DH are allergic to silver birch trees. My next door neighbours front and back garden are teeming with them. Apparently she says they neutralise the pollution in the air. Give me fumes any day. Because I can’t escape to work hay fever is horrible this year. Also silver birch trees are fucking ugly trees.

MrsJonesAndMe · 17/04/2020 19:58

No, it's still been bad, but we've had rain this afternoon and apparently overnight and first thing, so hoping for a bit of respite!

parrotonmyshoulder · 17/04/2020 20:18

Loads better, but I was out cutting down saplings in the garden the week before, just as their parent trees were in full pollen. This week I have been at work and my trees at home look to have settled down.

ifonly4 · 17/04/2020 20:44

I normally get a touch of hayfever in June. I've had it noticeably this last week, comes on after walks, we're on edge of country. I wake up with a blocked nose and sore throat. I've taken an antihistamine for a couple of days to be sure, and it's definitely better then

Camomila · 17/04/2020 21:52

We've all been terrible this week. DS keeps getting nosebleeds because his nose is itchy and then he picks it (he's 4).

We've missed out on our daily walks these last few days and keep closing windows.

Iadoremylabrador · 17/04/2020 21:57

Mine and my children's is the same as last week. Luckily not too severe so easily cured by cheapie clarityn.

blossombabies · 17/04/2020 22:29

i haven't used my inhaler in a few days now and my chest feels clearer, no itchy eyes, ears throat etc
it was dreadful last week, personally it has never affected me more than during that week or so

FelineUK · 17/04/2020 22:42

Yes, better this week, not so blocked up or sneezing so much however, still a bit of an itchy throat and eyes. Only been out in the garden twice today. (Never used to get HF..!)

ChristmasCarcass · 17/04/2020 22:56

Bad last week, seems to be s lot of tree pollen about for some reason (I’m not usually affected until June).

Peridot1 · 17/04/2020 22:56

Mine has been really bad this week. I’m allergic to silver birch too and we have one right outside the kitchen. I ended up completely cleaning the kitchen and dining area yesterday- damp dusted everywhere and vacuumed.. Definitely helped a lot. Then DH went out with the lead vacuum and vacuumed up all the catkins. Of course then it rained today so everywhere is covered again!
