When lockdown is lifted

I’ve been thinking about what’s going to happen when lockdown is lifted and am slightly concerned it’s going to get a bit silly. I understand people wanting to celebrate the end of all this but seeing all the fb posts about having a massive party or running to the pub as the first thing they will do , has got me a bit worried.
I know it will hopefully be a phased ‘release’ but I wonder how it will pan out.

Actually, I’ve just had a word with myself about worrying about things that might not happen and to stop myself scaremongering.
I’m finding that my thinking is a bit all over the shop recently.

I think people will be apprehensive and go out much less to start with.

I think the lifting of lockdown will happen gradually, in case there is a spike, and lockdown has to be reimposed.
Currently planning on having a meal together with my adult DSs, who live separately but not that far away - currently keeping in touch with Whatsapp, etc

I think the idiots will all rush out and party, there'll be lots of drunken injuries and fights, domestic violence will spike and two weeks later there'll be a spike in infections. The more cautious/vulnerable will slowly return to some kind of normal but might keep socially distancing and using caution and extra hand washing.

I'm thinking about changing my whole lifestyle. We've always been a bit hectic with after school clubs eating out with friends going to pubs etc etc. It's been lovely to come home from work strip clothes off into washing machine shower and just spend time with my kids doing school work then playing out in the garden or doing crafty things even playing computer games with them. I'm really enjoying just being able to have fun with my kids I somehow never had much time for before. It helps we are so so lucky to have a massive garden and the things we have in it. I'm so grateful for that. Il be cutting some things out of my week when this is over because lock down has taught me the important things in my life and I feel my bond with my children is a lot stronger and would love it to stay this way

Tonz - one of the most uplifting posts ever! I really hope you are able to make those changes long-term. Life "before" was too much of a hamster wheel for so many of us, we don't actually need to have or do lots of the stuff we've been having/doing.
Enjoy the time with your children, it goes so (too) fast. Best wishes 😊

@Smallnmighty Thank you. I'm definitely changing. I camped out in the garden with kids last night something I wouldn't have made time for before and it was amazing experiencing their first time sleeping in a tent. Kids have said I'm like a whole new mummy 😁. I am now amazing at Mario Kart and Minecraft. We are having movie night tonight with frozen 1 and 2. It's rotten that it's taken a pandemic to discover the joy in my children but I have found it and I will be keeping it. My mum always told me they're only wee once and now I see what she means
