Just watched one of my neighbours adult children rock up in a large car. Bundled the kids out and troop into their elderly parents house! They then came out 40 minutes later clutching several easter eggs each!!

What the holy crap!!

@YeOldeTrout it is possible those veggies were missing, I assume many people have been buying for a roast for tomorrow.

It is the first year in many years that there have still been mini eggs available for Easter Day in our supermarket. They have usually long gone by now (usually into my tummy Blush)

But back to the OP. It is so annoying when people aren’t listening to the rules. Wouldn’t be so bad if they had just dropped the eggs at the door and stood down the drive talking to them. But to go in the house.

I agree I assumed that they were there to do a quick pick up and run but nope!

I appreciate that Mumsnet is full of these posts but I'm shocked at peoples attitudes.
This was a very seemingly middle class family x

Having people in your garden or drive is ok as long as you have no contact. My neighbour round the corner has had several glasses of wine with her mates like that. They are a good distance away from each other and it keeps spirits up. She is a single parent and in need of adult Company.Obviously having family round in your house, sharing food etc is totally wrong and idiotic.

Er no Kate that would count as a visit to friend or family. How is that different to meeting in the park for a socially distanced picnic which the police would move on?

Do the friends bring their own drinks and glasses? I know someone whose granddaughter sits in the front garden for a chat and then pops in the house to use the loo.

It’s OK. We have overtaken Italy for most deaths a day. Let’s meet in each other’s garden to keep our spirits up.

Must be the same family as in our village that held an Easter party with a dozen children this weekend! Plus the entourage of parents.
