Keeping kids busy!

Really need advice or suggestions...!

Dc age 6 and 8. Both me and dp are working from home. Need to concentrate. Am usually sat in separate room to kids. Tried giving them routine - joe wicks in the morning, bit of reading, bit of school work or puzzles, lunch and outdoor time. Things they can do without me or dp having to supervise or get too involved. But more often than not it ends in chaos, rows, distractions and inevitably both of them ending up on an iPad or Netflix. I'm starting to get really worried about the amount of time they are just sat about. We don't have a garden, just a small yard with barely enough room to throw a ball.

We get out and have a walk once a day but other than that they are doing sod all! I wish I had more time to do activities with them but I just can't do it while working.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or make me feel better about my iPad babysitting my kids!

I have been using a lot of live classes for the kids whilst I'm working. Lingotot are offering language classes (some free, some payed) at different times, which are great. I have created a youtube kids account for them, and subscribed to things like 'cosmic kids yoga', and 'kidz bop'- who post daily yoga and kids dance routines. It's not perfect, and it's worse now it's Easter holidays since the school isn't sending work home, but it works.
I also set challenges at lunch time, so in addition to Joe Wicks they are getting a bit of exercise. I'll write it down on a bit of paper, so 'record yourself using the ipad doing 10 star jumps and 10 hops, and then invent a dance move. show it to me when i'm done working'. Or it may be a more creative one, so 'Draw a penguin with a funny hat and colour it in pink!'

all the best x
