Tax credits - Furloughed

We receive tax credits for our two children. My DH works full-time and I do not work. My DH has been furloughed by his company on 80% pay. Do we need to contact tax credits as our income will be lower?

I'm also curious about this. Just waiting for first pay slip so can give an actual amount. Confused as his work have said he's still employed by them.

Suppose we need to inform because of a change of income?

I would tell them, they are usually pretty helpful on the phone or online chat. You can also update online at 'manage your tax credits' as well.

Also I think tax credits have had a slight increase due to this situation as well so might be worth checking, ours has gone up slightly.

Thanks both. I contacted them on the online chat. They said at the moment to just wait and see. They are not doing anything for 8 weeks. Our payments have gone down slightly from today so with the 20% pay cut things are tight.

I'm in the same situation and as soon as I know what I'm getting from furlough I'll update online, can't at the moment because I don't know an exact figure as my earnings fluctuated week to week.
