The House of Commons Library have published a range of materials which you may find useful during this period:

Covers key questions the impact of Covid-19 on childcare providers and parents (England only).

There have been nearly a million new benefit claims due to Covid-19 according to the BBC. This Insight covers new regulations and measures introduced to ease and speed up access to certain benefits, and the situation for self-employed people.

Covers what housing support measures the Government has introduced in response to Covid-19, for example around tenancies and rent payments; home owners and mortgages; and homelessness services and rough sleepers.

How can social interventions like school closures and the ban of mass gatherings help fight COVID-19? How effective are these measures and how long should they be in place for?

A breakdown of the current efforts to develop a vaccine for coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Who is working on a vaccine? When might one become available to the public?

See our coronavirus page for further briefings on topics like business, travel, policing and more. The page will be regularly updated but as this is a fast-moving issue, each piece should be read as accurate at the time of publication.
