Any DC had suspected Covid-19?

What have the symptoms been?

Is vomiting an initial symptom?

(I know most likely a sickness bug but it's hard not to worry)

Does you DC have a temperature too? My son 4 had suspected coronavirus and was vomiting due to the continuous high temperature.....

Random18 · 05/04/2020 23:52

No he doesn't have a temperature. He was flushed earlier and I thought he felt a bit hot but his temp was fine.

Feels ok now.

He rarely gets sickness bugs but does have a habit of vomitting with other viruses / infections.

Well it could be or not. Sorry not helpful, but I'll cross my fingers it's a 24 hrs bug and not a virus of any kind. Xx

BeebabaLooloo · 05/04/2020 23:59

Yes. And I have had it too.

BeebabaLooloo · 05/04/2020 23:59

Vomiting was a symptom for DC.

middleager · 06/04/2020 00:00

Maybe.
DS 13 came back from Italy.
2 weeks later fever of 39+ degrees, vomiting and dizzy.
The next day he was fine.
Then it came back for a day.

2 weeks later and I'm unwell Confused

The fever is a general sign, though not always.

BeebabaLooloo · 06/04/2020 00:01

Sorry, not drip feeding. It's late and I'm trying to list symptoms.

Me: temp over 37.8 that didn't go with paracetemol.
Body aches.
Shaking, shivering.
Fatigue.
Insomnia.
Mild cough.
Thick phlegm stuck in throat.

DC had temp that lasted a about 2 days, but has since come back once or twice.

BeebabaLooloo · 06/04/2020 00:03

Also a cough.

Contacted my gp and NHS 111 with list of symptoms, also stating how long I'd had them at that point - nearly 2 weeks. They said stay home.

Random18 · 06/04/2020 00:03

Tha is everyone. I guess we just need to wait and see.

No known contacts and have been pretty isolated. Will see how he is in morning.

I think it can be and I may have read it’s more common in children, but it’s all a bit information overload right now.

Mine have had symptoms, as have we, but the kids were super mild and only had nausea, no vomiting, one had diarrhoea and a cough. At no point have they been too sick to be off school, aside from the D&V rule aspect.

Random18 · 06/04/2020 00:11

Shasta he did say at least I'm not at school tomorrow!

Just felt him and if anything he feels cold. So definitely no temperature.

Random is your DH wfh?

My son is rarely ill so it was unusual for him to be out like that, but he was so strong in fighting it (unlike his middle aged mother) because of his youth, so try not to worry. I think the lack of temperature is a positive sign.

Random18 · 06/04/2020 00:27

middle no he's not wfh. But he has not shown any symptoms at all.

I suspect I am worrying over nothing. He has not been sick since so it may just have been too much rubbish earlier.

Mine were sick, bit of a temp and mild cough. I've been unwell for the past week with most symptoms other than cough. Had nausea and dihorrea but no vomiting

AnneOfTeenFables · 06/04/2020 01:59

When you say he feels cold, is he clammy? My DS has been complaining of stomach pain in the evening, had diarrhoea and felt clammy to touch.

PessimisticMissPiggy · 06/04/2020 05:55

DD had diarrhoea for a few days then started with a fever and cough. Vomiting when fever peaked. We’re on day 13 from fever and cough symptoms starting but malaise has improved massively.
