Having a debate with a friend on WhatsApp - I reckon this is against the rules, he believes he's 100% compliant. What does the mumsnet jury think?
He's been with his girlfriend for around six months: they each live alone in separate houses about a forty-minute drive from each other. They're both contractors working in IT for separate organisations; so not key workers, and both are currently working from home.
He now stays with his girlfriend most nights and travels home to work during the day. He says this is totally fine because he "lives with" his girlfriend and is allowed to travel from work.
Note that, before Coronavirus, he would never have said they live together
I reckon that if they wanted to be together during lockdown, they should have picked a house (his, if her wifi isn't great and they both need to work from home) and both stayed and worked from there, in order to avoid car journeys and moving around etc.
I think he's in a huff with me now for saying he's not doing the right thing . . .
