Things to send/take to someone in their 80's?

I have an elderly relative who I cannot see for weeks now. I have sent a card via an online retailer and am planning to have a floral gift and some chocolates dropped off. I was just wondering if there was anything not quite so obvious I could give? This is going on for a long time so I am hoping to be able to give a free 'thinking of you' gifts.

My mum who is 81 has requested a couple of puzzle and crossword books. We’ve also sent some posh hand cream to counteract the effects of all the hand washing.
She’s had a Bloom & Wild flower delivery too.
Fortunately she’s quite tech savvy for her age, and is keeping in touch with all the family through texts and FaceTime which is making it easier for all of us.

Thanks, good ideas I will have a look for those.

She isn't technically minded at all, despite my best efforts!

Is she okay for food? You could send her ready made meals from somewhere like parsley box?
Books? My mum particularly loved ones about the city she grew up in with lots of old photos.
A hamper of gift type food treats.
If she is not at all tech savvy does she still use a DVD player or even a video recorder? If so you could send some films to watch.
Letters and cards. My mum loved long chatty letters telling her what I was doing and in particular talking about memories of the past. Kind of do you remember when?
Old fashioned toiletries.

I am sending my DM various box sets of DVDs. She’s not very tech savvy so no internet but can use a DVD player. It is keeping her occupied whilst she can’t go out.

Fabulous, thank you - I'm going to maybe send things once a week. I have just ordered a DVD set of her favourite comedy, some regular puzzle books and will look into food gifts and order up some new photos tomorrow.

I'm actually in the process of building a wee memory box for her Christmas, with all the old bits and bobs from over the years so I don't want to use anything along that line.

It's so hard, for everyone, isn't it Sad

DVDs
Stamps
Books
Sweets
Soap
Letters/cards
Jelly to set

That’s what I’ve been sending my Mum.

You sound very kind and thoughtful inflam

I am sure it will be much appreciated.

I managed to find some books for my DM but she is getting through them fast! Libraries being closed must be making it hard for lots of people who are isolated and usually have books on the go.
