Do you think we will see more and more people ignoring the rules this weekend?

It's going to be 19 degrees where I am on Sunday. It will be interesting to see how many people start ignoring the rules at the first sign of nice weather this year. I think we'll see a lot more people going out, round to friend's houses, etc.

I’m sure the curtain twitchers are positively creaming themselves with excitement about all the people they’ll be able to “report"

I have never reported anyone, wouldn't stop me getting very pissed off if we go into stricter lockdown because people don't understand very clear rules. Our 1 slot of exercise a day is the only chance we get to go out and get some fresh air and daylight! Try living in a flat with no outside space, with a toddler who is used to running outside all day at childcare! This 1 form of exercise could get taken away from us because of selfish cunts taking the piss. They probably go back home to their homes with gardens not caring about the consequences for others.

Yes, I think people will continue to behave like dicks.

WanderingLost167 · 02/04/2020 17:41

We'll go for a bike ride. Hopefully I'll well by then, possibly had Covid

FuckThisWind · 02/04/2020 17:41

I hope not, but I suspect we will.

This is why they told us yesterday that there was a uptick in cars on the roads the last couple of days. Give it a couple of days and the Govt will end up saying "righto, you couldn't be trusted to do the right thing, you're only allowed 200 metres outside your property now"
There have been so many people arguing the toss about their version of 'essential'
In fact the new Govt advert (with Chris Whitty) says "Only go out if it is absolutely necessary for work, food or exercise"

I live in a small seaside town. This morning the police were out moving people away from the promenade. Some had driven there just to look at the sea with a flask, it seemed. I was walking my dog (from one)

BillywilliamV · 02/04/2020 17:43

Its all quite straight forward, youd really have to be a moron not to understand the rules!

Brakebackcyclebot · 02/04/2020 17:43

Home not one

Makeitgoaway · 02/04/2020 17:43

No. I think people are getting a better understanding now. I don't recognise the behaviour people here like to froth over from my local community.

That first weekend was ridiculous but people hadn't had any time to let the enormity of it all sink in. They're getting it now.

slimecentury · 02/04/2020 17:51

Bloody hope not

I'm sure they will be but to honest I hope they do report people. I will be in my back garden all day.

The people who do go out are just selfish pricks.

aut0replenish · 02/04/2020 17:58

They’re saying the public are doing the right thing. The vast maj are complying. They keep telling you in briefings so we really don’t need the doom ,gloom, people are idiots spiel.

MargotB7 · 02/04/2020 18:15

Most but not all, unfortunately.

pocketem · 02/04/2020 18:17

Already seen tons of the vulnerable age group out and about today, mostly in couples but some larger groups. Plus at the supermarket with a trolley each to try to bypass the item limits
