Numbers could be much lower because we had relatively lower numbers when the lockdown was introduced.

I've been thinking this but not seen anything written about it. Scotland 10% of UK population, but not 10% of casualties.

What's not clear though (and wasn't really addressed by the expert) is what happens next?

I think it was yesterday Nicola reported just over 100 critical cases... so it's almost like it's not really had the chance to take root yet.

Which surely means as soon as you start to lift restrictions the virus will just ramp up again?

And we'll be even further away from herd immunity than anyone else.

I think just due to the demographics here will we dealing with the virus longer than the rest of the UK.

Basically until we have a vaccine / cure. Which looks like 18 months away best case scenario according to Chris Whitty right at the start of the pandemic.

I am sure everyone heading to Strathclyde park at the weekend will affect things in 2 weeks Sad

Scotland is quite a big area with a small population.

I've heard of a fair few suspected cases round about the Glasgow area.

But glad the numbers I'm hospital and dying are still relatively low.

We may have approx 10% of the population, but according to a friend who works in critical care, we have 5% of the ICU ventilators.
