Hi, I'm really sorry to ask this but here goes....

Yesterday my elderly neighbor came round in a panic, he had 999 on the phone and they needed him to do CPR on his wife bu he couldn't move her off the sofa to do so. I went over, moved her off the sofa and did CPR as instructed by the 999 operators arrived a, until paramedicas arrived and took over. She was later pronounced dead, I'm 99.9% sure she was already dead when I was there.

She was an older lady with breathing problems, heavy smoker etc.

Obviously running into someones home and doing CPR flies against social distancing, I am wondering if deaths at home that could be covid would be tested, or if they would just put it down to old age? And if she did test positive would they let the family know, who would in turn let me know?

Thanks for any info.

I'm afraid I don't know, but you are an absolute hero, and you did your very best.
The likelihood that she or he had covid 19 is very small, and the likelihood that you picked it up also small, so please try not to worry. Thanks
