Has anyone had coronavirus mildly? Can you share your experiences if so? Thanks!

I would be keen to read this too.
My son has been unwell since 17 March - fever, headache, cough, sore hips, knees, then feet. His symptoms went away and then came back after two days. Today he is saying his chest hurts. He is 9.

The week he became unwell my husband and I had really bad headaches, he had aches and pains and we both had an upset stomach. Since then we have both felt tired.

On Friday my daughter started to have a fever. It is off and on. Nothing yesterday but back today. Her throat looks red but no coughing.

Almost no mild cases have been tested so what's the point in this thread. The people replying could have had cv or sbout 100 other illnesses.

Only frontline NHS staff at certain Trusts have been tested if they have mild symptoms. Nobody else will know.

I think I’ve had it but of course I don’t know!
A mild temperature, dry cough and feeling exhausted. That passed pretty quickly but am still breathless 10 days later. Would love to know if I’ve had it or not.

I was just coming on to say the same - unless you have been tested then whatever your symptoms you cannot KNOW that you have had it. There are still all the usual bugs going round,

I don't know if it's coronavirus I've got, but for the past 5 days I've had a temperature (38-40) and slightly elevated heart rate, but on the whole I feel fine. Although they say it's between days 5 and 9 that things can take a turn for the worse so I'm getting a bit apprehensive.

I've got what's very likely COVID-19, and I've ended up 3 weeks later on the mend but still having coughing fits, copious amounts of sputum to cough or pike up and now a pulled muscle in my chest, which is making it really hard to cough (it's so painful). But I need to because sputum keeps building up and it blocks my airways unless I get rid of it. It's a nightmare. I thought I was losing consciousness on the 6th day when the sputum first appeared, I'd had only a dry cough before that. My DH called 999 and paramedics advised us over the phone.

I think so-called mild cases include distressing ones like mine and others' that I've read about (some would call them moderate). I wasn't tested (the one doctor I've seen (yesterday when I finally had blood tests because of my chest pain) said it might be COVID-19 or it might be another virus that's going round. I think it was a mistake to say that most people would have it mildly, because a lot of mild cases feel like anything but to the sufferers.

I caught whatever it was from my DD2 (8), whose case would be a good example of a mild COVID-19 case if that's what it was. She was very unwell for 4 days, high temperature, chest pains, bad headaches and aches and pains.

But obviously we don't know, as there are a lot of other viral illnesses around.
