Does anyone else feel really grotty by about 3pm being stuck in the house all day?

My teenage daughter and I do. Like we need a shower. I don’t know if it’s the central heating/lack of fresh air or boredom of the same scenery everyday 🤷‍♀️

We are both out for an hour run every morning and then she plays netball in our garden at lunch and after ‘school’

Ugh

Anyone else feel like this?

Me too so i open all the windows even though it has been really cold over the last few days, down a couple of glasses of water and soon feel much better.

Youneedtocalmd0wn · 01/04/2020 17:14

YES. 3/3.30 every day it's hitting me! Today I've poured a small glass of red wine and put on my running playlist to try and pep me up!

tulipsrus · 01/04/2020 17:16

It’s called nap time !

sar302 · 01/04/2020 17:29

Oh I'm absolutely having this!
We're very busy in the morning, then our toddler goes for a nap at 1.00 and by 2.30 / 3.00pm I'm nodding off on the couch!
Found myself looking up "restorative yoga" on YouTube today. I ate an angel slice instead...

@WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish what’s a WOCL?

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2020 18:02

All of you without small children should be taking a leaf out of my book and get up later. Grin

WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish · 01/04/2020 18:09

Window of circadian low.... basically when your body temp is lowest and humans are supposed to be asleep. Around 4am. More mistakes get made around the WOCL. It’s an aviation thing initially but being incorporated into health care training now.

WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish · 01/04/2020 18:09

@CremeEggThief well that’s just rude, we are supposed to all be in this together (545 wake up here.....)

MortyFide · 01/04/2020 18:11

Oh God, yes! I thought I was getting ill or something, I feel rubbish by mid afternoon. I think it's partly broken sleep (we timed getting a new puppy with this pandemic), and partly eating a lot of crap like bread, chocolate etc. I even get some stomach pains, and I've had pains under my ribs at the back.

I had been losing a little weight and working on improving my fitness just before we got the puppy, but my living room step workouts are all to cock because our every waking moment revolves around monitoring/supervising the puppy, and eating has gone out of the window because shopping has been so tricky. I know its settling down now but we've fallen into old and bad eating habits already (we are chunkers).

Not only that but I seem to have developed an allergy suspiciously timed with the arrival of the puppy - runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, itching inside my mouth and a rash on my belly. Sad

I also started HRT a few days before puppy arrived and lockdown started. Nightmare.

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2020 18:12

Oh God, I don't envy you that, WhenYouveAFirst!

AnotherTroyforhertoburn · 01/04/2020 18:18

I am on the 90 day lock down, I cracked last night so DH and I walked briskly to the end of the road and back, it was 11.00pm it took less than ten minutes, we met no one else and it has improved my mood no end today.

userabcname · 01/04/2020 18:23

Yeah I try to hold off on our daily walk til then or, if that's not possible with the toddler, I have been known to start dinner at 3.30pm to give me something to do!!

Laiste · 01/04/2020 18:25

Solomangrundy happy to be corrected. Interesting isn't it. I wasn't going to mention the death bit ... but i'd heard about that too.

Is it peak birth time or am i imagining that bit?
off to google

blossombabies · 01/04/2020 18:26

we're in bed until 11 so not too bad

Titsywoo · 01/04/2020 18:29

Yes so 3pm is the time we do our daily exercise and walk the dog. Splits the day up nicely after "school".

Laiste · 01/04/2020 18:32

See i'm getting up earlier and earlier. Each day my body clock has me pinging awake 10 mins earlier than the last. Today i was up at quarter to bloody 6 Hmm roaming downstairs alone until the rest of the family make an appearance. I'm guessing it'll be half 5 tomorrow.

DD (6) is up just after 7, DM (82) is up at half 7, DH half 8, and the young adult DDs anytime between 9am and apx 1pm .....

elQuintoConyo · 01/04/2020 18:36

3pm is siesta time!

Only that's when i work, so not for me :(

Bringringbring12 · 01/04/2020 19:36

@Laiste

I love that quiet time! If I don’t run, then I’ll make a coffee, unload dishwasher, sort out a few jobs, radio on quietly. It’s a lovely start to the day.

bettertimesarecomingnow · 01/04/2020 19:57

I have been so tired and grumpy by the afternoon!

Going to try and get out for a big walk tomorrow as being in the house most of the day zaps my energy and makes me feel really down.

I am not enjoying this at all. Not good for my mental health

LargeGinOnTap · 01/04/2020 21:04

Yes
But I've found doing choir practice with Gareth malone gets me out of it. Even though I'm doing bugger all, I find myself needing a nap
