AIBU to not send kids to hub school

So I’m starting a job in just over 2 weeks time with the NHS (not front line) My kids are 13 and 11. My plan is that they will stay at home and access their learning via the apps that the schools have set them rather then sending them to hub school. My 20 year old step son is working from home but won’t be able to supervise/help them as he has to work. I’m hoping they will get on with what they need to and not just sit watching you tube all day. I don’t think they will. They have been warned!
Do you think this is ok? I’m just feeling a bit anxious but would rather them safe here than mixing with kids at a hub school!

If there is a 20 year old in your house then you don't need to use the hub and shouldn't be sending them in. I presume he could glance at what they're doing occasionally. I'd suggest a shared workspace rather than having them all in different rooms. If they're not doing their work they would have to do it in the evening once you're home. I think it's exactly the right thing to do.

Sounds fine to me.

They’re all working in separate rooms at the moment which I think is working better than them being together. 13 year old has ADHD so he is better with less distractions (he is medicated which makes a huge difference) step son just can’t be disturbed as he’s making calls to customers all day. They’re just going to have to muddle along I think.

If there's an adult in the house then the guidelines are that they should stay home. Even primary school children and toddlers!
