Day 18 of isolation now I have sore throat

We’ve been fully isolating- have only been out for rural walks, have passed about 5 people the whole time and stayed meters away, have been wearing gloves for deliveries Which have been left by door & waiting 3 days before using them. HOW can I have a sore throat and sneezy feeling?! And should I now isolate from DH, dcs?

Hay fever?

TestBank · 01/04/2020 08:13

BackseatCookers · 01/04/2020 08:14

Woken up with first day of hayfever this year today, might be the same for you)

Sneezing isn't a sign of covid19. Runny nose is a cold! Or hayfever.

Symptoms are cough, fever and chest pain/breathing difficulties. Sometimes loss of taste or smell.

Suniscomingout · 01/04/2020 08:16

Does Hayfever give you a sore throat?

Sittinonthefloor · 01/04/2020 08:18

I don’t think I get hay fever! Reassuring re sneezes though, thanks calm ones! Although fully isolating for the duration of the Easter hols might be no bad thing!

It does for me. And a cough. It's quite annoying.

Hay fever for me feels like the first day of a cold - sneezy, sore throat - but it doesn’t progress like a cold and is worse on some days than others (obviously!). There’s a lot of tree pollen around at the moment

claragolightly · 01/04/2020 09:51

Also hayfever! I had a scratchy throat last week, and my nose alternates between runny and blocked. I also get different symptoms each year - sometimes very itchy eyes, other times it's more my nose. Some years I don't get it at all!

coronade · 01/04/2020 09:58

You can get hay fever as you get older. Women in particular. It’s something to do with hormone levels changing. I never use to suffer but have the last 2 yrs as I approach the menopause. I get sore throat, sinus pain and headache with it. Also itchy eyes.

Oh, interesting, thanks.

fairyfingers · 01/04/2020 15:28

Coronado, v interesting on age and increase in hayfever. I started getting it at 40ish and it's only getting worse

OP my hay fever is just like you are describing and this year is bad.
