Extremely vulnerable/ autism?

I posted a little while back as I received a vulnerable person text which I wasnt expecting (I don’t have any medical conditions) I thought it must have been for my son as he has asthma, though only mild. I didn’t receive a letter so assumed the text was sent by mistake, I’ve not received any post for a while but today I finally received a letter date 21st, it actually states it’s my daughter who is extremely vulnerable, she doesn’t have any medical conditions but she does have autism, how would that make her more likely to need to go to hospital? Does that put her on the extremely vulnerable list? I didn’t notice it on the criteria. She has no other medical conditions

Why not ring yohr GP and ask? None of us here have any idea.

Heard people being advised not to bother the gp because they are busy, so was just wondering if anyone got the same!

I haven't had one, my son has autism.

My daughter is autistic with severe LD. I haven't received a letter either.
I don't expect to really, she's as fit as a flea physically and she already relies on me for care 24/7. My only worry is if I get sick and am unable to care for her, so I'm being very careful for both of our sakes.

I haven't had a letter at all, two of mine are autistic with LD, one of them has a heart condition. Are you sure the letter was about your child's autism? Is your child's health compromised in another way?

I actually don't understand why the disabled aren't included in the list of vulnerable people?

I havent had a letter and my eldest has autism and cerebral palsy. Maybe ring up to clarify? I have seen learning disabilities mentioned on the official guidelines and I assumed it perhaps meant due to communication issues i.e understanding how to keep safe, being able to easily explain illness etc. My daughter finds displaying pain/telling someone she feels unwell incredibly difficult
