Risk for teachers?

Sil is a teacher. I’m really worried about her exposure to CV; especially as the schools are now going to be only filled with the children of other people at big risk of exposure. She says I’m over worrying and they will keep to social distancing - but that’s not possible in a primary school is it? She has been self isolating anyway since schools closed, but is due back in a week and a bit. My nephew had mild asthma as a baby but nothing since (he’s 10).cant tell if I’m worrying over nothing. Am terrified h though

I think it's normal to be worried for her, but if you're terrified to the point of it affecting your life you need to do something ltl get your anxiety in check. Perhaps see if you can get a call from the gp?

Yes she's at more risk than if she didn't work, butess risk than other jobs. Either way she's weighed up the risks and decided what to do. All you need to do to show you care is to support those decisions

Thank you for your reply. I could get my nephew to live with me, but is that too extreme? I would never forgive myself if anything happened to him

It's highly infectious, it lives in the throat and you can get it by talking to someone.

I’m a teacher but, at the moment, not being called in as I’m pregnant. My sister, two of my best friends and all of my colleagues - obviously Grin -are also a teacher and are being called in to work. I reassure myself that they aren’t in a risk group so are unlikely to suffer adverse effects from the virus.
