Parents and shopping

I’m having second thoughts around this so just wanted some advice please .

My parents are fit and healthy (no underlying conditions whatsoever) and mid 60’s. They live about 10 miles away. Since CV they have become carers of sorts for my grandparents who are all lye 80’s so self-isolating. My parents are doing the shopping weekly for 3 households and following all advice re hand washing, maintaining distance and even showering and changing straight after shopping.

Me and DH as I said are 10 miles away. I am working 5 days a week as a nurse, DH is home working and looking after our 2 primary school aged children. He goes shopping once a week and I only go to work and back.

So my question, should I be reducing risk and trying to do the shop for my parents and 2 lots of grandparents to keep my parents safe or am I going to be the biggest risk? I haven’t given it a lot of thought as they are both very healthy and very active so I had previously assumed very low risk.

You are the biggest risk as a nurse as you can’t socially distance. Your parents are not high risk and can shop for your grandparents.

Thanks for replying. That’s what I thought but I keep doubting myself.

I think you are just feeling guilty your parents are not elderly are managing let them get on with it you are still out at work you have no actual time to do any real shopping for them all,
