So my DC has his 3year 4month jabs due tomorrow. I usually get a text the day before to confirm the appointment. But I've not had anything.
However that's not my major concern. Do I take him in for his jabs? Could I be putting him in more danger if I don't (I know the jabs don't protect against the coronas).

Our practice have switched off electronic booking and notifications so that they can better plan as things change so I would phone your practice in the morning to check

Catworrier · 29/03/2020 16:52

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Are people still bringing in kids for jabs?

How about you ring the doctors and ask them in the morning

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/03/2020 00:26

Our ds is due the same jabs, I'm really not sure what to do. I don't think I want to take him to the surgery to have them tbh. Sad
But then is that more of a risk than going?

SnoozyLou · 30/03/2020 00:55

I would ring them first thing. Our surgery is shut but they still contact you if you already had appointments booked in. All my midwife appointments have been moved to the hospital but I think other types are seen at a different surgery.

I would take him in for vaccines.

Childhood vaccinations are one of the few things classed as essential by our practice and are continuing as normal. The benefit outweighs the risk.
