Any medical people about please?? Can literally feel my heartbeat in my eyes

Really scared. Had heartbeat thumping in my chest for over a week now, more noticeable when I move, even slightly.

Had thought it could be anxiety related, but now I don't think so.

Now when it happens I can feel my heartbeat literally in my eyelids.

Have you had it before it started a week ago, do you suffer with high blood pressure? Go on 111 online now!!!!

littlemissmuffins · 29/03/2020 16:06

No never had it before. No history of high blood pressure but not been checked for years.

I'm terrified they'll send me to a hospital. Can't do that.

It could be anxiety considering the situation if you're stressed but it may be something more serious. Get online now please.

littlemissmuffins · 29/03/2020 16:15

My sister said to take my pulse rate. It is 75. That is good. But not currently having the thumpy heartbeat when I took it.

If it was really high blood pressure, would the pulse rate be increased the entire time or just when the episodes happen??

I've no idea. But why can't you just go online and get advice. If it was me I'd want to put my mind at rest.

littlemissmuffins · 29/03/2020 16:36

Because I'm terrified they'll send me to a hospital.

But it could be serious. I'm not saying it is, but if it's high blood pressure (or anything else - I'm not a medic!!!!!), if you don't get seen to it could be fatal. You don't seem to want to help yourself.

Starrr123 · 29/01/2022 10:01

@littlemissmuffins what was it ?

StuckInARug · 29/01/2022 10:17

I get that when I’m anxious, I can feel my heart beat all over my face. By your posts you sound like you might be anxious too?

You can always get a blood pressure machine off Amazon and measure it yourself…

unchienandalucia · 29/01/2022 10:19

Why are you terrified of being sent to hospital?

RachC2021 · 29/01/2022 11:13

@unchienandalucia

Why are you terrified of being sent to hospital?
Because it was almost two years ago when nobody understood Covid-19.

Zombie thread.

i relate to the OP as i have health anxiety. I had covid a month ago and 1 night i had chest pain then pounding heart for 2 days and have had nothing since, think 2 nights since i’ve had pain in my chest but it was like gas pain

gamerchick · 30/01/2022 00:48

The sensation you describe usually points to dehydration in me. Do you drink enough?

gamerchick · 30/01/2022 00:49

FFS, who dug this up.

😂😂😂😂hilarious

Vallmo47 · 30/01/2022 18:16

Deep, deep breaths OP. First of all, your pulse is much better than mine so that’s excellent news. There are breathing techniques you can do for your anxiety. Try to go to trusted methods you’ve tried in past. This is very likely your mind having gone into overdrive. Secondly, if you have Amazon prime a blood pressure monitor and an oximeter can be with you tomorrow. Or ask someone to go buy you one from a local pharmacy.
What’s the worry about going to hospital?

Tomorrow is Monday. If you can try the breathing techniques first, have you got someone with you? Try to distract your mind. Tomorrow you can get a phone consultation if need be. You need to try whatever you can to calm yourself down. You can do this.

Vallmo47 · 30/01/2022 20:26

How are you now OP?

Porcupineintherough · 30/01/2022 22:28
