Will this change your shopping habits going forward?

I've always had fairly well stocked cupboards and freezer, when life gets busy it's good to have something in. I also like having the makings of a meal for friends or people round for a drink, a cake with coffee. I enjoy being able to rustle something up without shopping specially. However, I had got slack about keeping some supplies topped up especially wine

I think it will be a long time before I make that mistake again.

If you were someone who just buys what you need when you need it, will that change?

I've discovered a lovely farm shop near me that I'll be continuing to use.

Naice cheese, ham, meat and vegetables ect. When their cafe opens back up we'll be regular customers.

I will decrease my use of supermarkets and increase use of fruit & veg boxes, farms and local businesses. I'm already getting bread, eggs and milk delivered from my local bakery and coffee from a local roaster. I will continue to buy extra food but then I always did. I think I might buy a small chest freezer as the fridge freezer I have is a bit small.

I was prepping/stockpiling for Brexit and then kept that going when Coronavirus started to look like a threat and I am so glad I did. Having a good stock of things in has meant that we haven't had to go to the supermarket for a couple of weeks.
I am always going to aim to have min 2 weeks supply of food and household things (like loo roll!) in.

Like other, I am also going to use small independents more. Some of locals have been brilliant at this time, and I want to support them

I prepped medicine, tins, loo rolls, toiletries and stuff like flour in preparation for Brexit but didn't have back ups for meat and fresh fruit and veg so will rethink that before the inevitable chaos at the end of the year.

I used to pop into a supermarket almost daily for bread, fresh fruit, veg and meat but I think once this has died down I will buy more but less often because I've realised how long I spend in supermarkets and I like having that time back.

No. I tend to do a big shop once a week anyway, and use local suppliers. I always keep a full freezer and store cupboard as well.

I hope the trend to use local shops and suppliers like milk deliveries continues as it will be good for the local economy. I live in a rural area anyway, so I am pleased that local farmers are getting more support.

This will include dairy farmers, the farmers that supply the local butchers, people who have hens, and the people who run our local farm shop who grow loads of vegetables.

I've always had a good supply of pantry and freezer essentials, and will continue to do so.

Will probably plan better though - for example freeze some bread on the day I buy it rather than end up throwing any away.
