Can I do a full shop?

I haven't been out for over a week now, I've seen lots on the tv about essential shopping only and one in one out at the shops.

Can I go and do a full weekly shop? I don't want to hold people up taking a long time but to me it makes more sense to go out once do a big shop and then stay home for another week.

I am doing a big shop on tuesday. It will have been 10 days since I last went shopping.

This one will last, hopefully, 14 days. Depends what's available when I get there.

Far more sensible that grabbing basics and having to go out more often.

I've recently taken on supermarket work as my business isn't needed right now. Please do plan ahead and do your weekly shop. I've been cooking and planning lots more as a result of this.

I saw a customer with a ready meal and 4 lagers on Friday. That tells me he'll be popping in every day!

I went to get some milk yesterday and I think most were doing their weekly shop, I queued for 90 minutes down the street. It was one in one out, and only 100 people in the store at one time. I think I just picked the wrong time to go. We've only one supermarket here and we can't travel more than 2km so I had to wait at this particular supermarket. I think when I need milk I'll go in for opening at 8am, that way i miss the weekly shoppers. It's just unfortunate if i get held up behind weekly shoppers, it's going to happen, people understand.

Some shops have introduced a One way system with everyone following same route so try to rewrite your list in a sensible order.
I'm rubbish at that and often have to backtrack

Plan ahead, I'm writing my list adopting a specific route through the store. It will be hard eg bananas are restricted to 3 but you can buy 3 bags of bananas or 3 single - crazy.

I'm shopping for my neighbour too, so far I've been allowed to put through her stuff (separate basket in my trolley) first, pay, then my own stuff. I wonder if they'll clamp down on this.

I think the essential thing was more about not spending time wandering about browsing home and clothing items. Obviously people do need to buy bits of clothing at times but not spend 20 minutes looking at tops etc.

There are 5 adults in our house and, whilst I completely understand the 3 item rule, it is frustrating when trying to meal plan for a week.

I am trying to use our village shop as much as possible but that means going in almost daily which isn't great.
