I will be thinking about my body in a different way and being more respectful to it (bit more exercise wouldn't go amiss)

I think it will impact on relationships too - I hope I'll be more circumspect about who I invest time in.

I hope to do some voluntary work too.

Stop all the fake hugging and kissing x

Sparklingbrook · 28/03/2020 23:43

I will be trying to maintain social distancing for as long as I can. I like my personal space, hate close talkers and hugging.

wavecatcher · 28/03/2020 23:50

I will stop bitching about the school run! Never knew how lucky I was...

greenlynx · 29/03/2020 00:05

I haven’t done much hugging and kissing before but now I will reduce it to zero apart from DH and DD. And I will always wash my hands for 20 seconds, I did shorter version before.

BBTHREE76 · 29/03/2020 00:42

Stop buying shit I don’t need. Wash hands for 20 seconds minimum and carry anti bac

Cohle · 29/03/2020 00:45

Dedicate more time to my friends.

I'm pretty introverted and therefore normally quite protective of time alone and with my family (or maybe I'm just lazy? Grin).

But we've had a slightly difficult time of it and some of my friends have been absolutely amazing. It's reminded me of how grateful I am for them and that I shouldn't take them for granted.

LaneBoy · 29/03/2020 00:50

Not go out for food as often
Exercise inside the house when I can’t get to the leisure centre
Walk just for the sake of walking

I won’t take online food shopping for granted again!

BestZebbie · 29/03/2020 02:30

I can see myself in old age becoming a little old lady that the grandkids eyeroll over because I always have a stocked pantry and check they have enough loo roll in their houses. But they will largely graciously forgive me my eccentricity because "she was alive in the coronavirus".

RedRec · 29/03/2020 02:44

Use up every last manky mushroom, shrivelled carrot and soft potato.

WwfLeopard · 29/03/2020 02:49

Declaring my income, never will I pay tax again, I’ve been totally left to rot in this, not even entitled to universal credit until I’ve used up my hard saved isa

MayDayHelp · 29/03/2020 02:50

I’ll be carrying on doing the majority of my shopping in the local shops. I’ve managed to completely avoid the supermarkets and it actually hasn’t worked out any more expensive, as although the food costs more I’m thinking very carefully about what I’m buying and not wasting anything. And it’s good to support my small local shops too, I’m very lucky to live here with such a good selection of stuff.

LonginesPrime · 29/03/2020 02:53

Never doing Marie Kondo again ...'it's easy to get hold of things again' my arse!

Gingerkittykat · 29/03/2020 02:56

I'm another one who will be taking better care of my health, it's scaring me how high risk I am and I know if I eat better, lose a bit of weight and exercise more I can improve that. I make half hearted attempts to lose weight and exercise but never stick to it.

I'm going to phone people a lot more instead of using text or messenger. I've been stuck indoors with just DD for 10 days now and voice chats have been a lifeline.

I'll also waste less money on stupid shit. I've spent more than usual on food due to buying locally but apart from that have not spent a single penny apart from a tank of petrol which won't be used for a while. Where did my money all go before?

SoapIsYourFriend · 29/03/2020 03:06

Never doing Marie Kondo again Oh this! I've got the book but didn't get round to using it.

I've aspired to get our house completely clutter free with sides that must take seconds to clean, like someone I know. Instead we still have lots of lovely books to read, games to play and craft things to do. Just because you haven't used them for six months doesn't mean you never will.

I've always over stocked the house - 'just in case'. Well the just in case has come!

I'll hopefully spend less money, never question how good you make can make chickpeas taste, sleep more, go out more and hug certain people harder than I can imagine. Also going to purge my wardrobe because I'm still wearing the same things day in and day out.

SoapIsYourFriend · 29/03/2020 03:08

Oh and the silver lining is that we can use the Marie Kondo book as loo paper. Grin

I'm going to wash my hands more often. I've obviously washed them before now but I'm going to do it far more and for longer.

I'm going to continue catching up with friends and family via phone and FaceTime more seriously. I've been calling my elderly father every day and sometimes during normal life I forget due to time constraints. If he makes it through this, I'll never take that for granted.

LonginesPrime · 29/03/2020 13:48

I'm kicking myself about all the fabrics and craft supplies I recycled relatively recently on the basis I wouldn't get round to crafting any time soon. I even gave away my sewing machine, FFS!
