I wondered how east it would be to make a mask to use. I have some cotton materials etc I could use. Would it be effective though? I could add several layers and it would be washable.
Hubby has a lung condition and we have a coupe of DIY masks we bought a while ago but that’s all

I don't think they would ve that effective. Not thr right material or fit.

If you want to use them when you have to go out, but don't rely on them to go about as normal.

I've thought about doing the same thing. I imagen some sort of face covering would be better than nothing.

They are quite easy to make. They don’t stop coronavirus but for example, if you sneeze or cough, it will help stop the spread of your spray. Plus it seems that you touch your face less often when wearing a mask.

Masks can be made easily with filter pockets, look on YouTube for directions. There a growing movement to make them for medical practitioners. As BlackCatSleeping says masks don’t prevent you catching COVID-19 but they prevent spreading the virus and touching your 😷
