Are all hospitals in major hit countries badly overrun?

Just curious really and can't find info.

We've seen the footage of the hospitals in Lombardy being so overrun they can't cope etc but I'm interested to know if every single hospital in Italy is the same or are some managing to cope.

Curious to know if in the U.K., will every hospital be overwhelmed or is it likely that certain hotspots will form like London and midlands with other areas less affected...or will the less affected become more affected later?

I work in a hospital that is extremely quiet and prepared for what might come but are very far away from the major areas. All the hospitals in our region are similar currently. We know we will be extremely busy but we wonder if it will be manageable or like Lombardy at some point regardless.

Given that they are building overspill units in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol I think it’ll be nationwide - although obviously clustered around urban areas, I guess?

Yesterday, one East Midlands was very quiet

No. Many of the hospitals outside of the worst hit areas are coping without much difficulty at the moment though that may well change. Patients have been transferred from Lombardy to some of the ICU units in other cities. I'm in far NE Italy and things seem to be very much under control.

@nohungosh that's reassuring that it's not the entire country that is so overwhelmed. It means that the less affected areas can take patients to help and share resources.

OP you are not the only one questioning this. Take a look at this video from a German Journalist filming in a Berlin Hospital. He follows it up by talking to many experts in the field. Better be quick, as it's being taken down on FB YT etc. Let's see how long it last's on here!
It is subtitled if you don't speak German.
