Because I am.

No.

TowandaForever · 27/03/2020 21:22

No I’m not.

Daisiest · 27/03/2020 21:24

Yes

OddBoots · 27/03/2020 21:26

No, but I am bundling them all up and putting them out if the way for a week before I use them for anything.

LouisaJenny · 27/03/2020 21:26

No.

Do you mean shopping bags?

Take reusable if you can. Then you can wash them when you get in.

Stellaris22 · 27/03/2020 21:26

No. Is it plastic bags from home delivery? Surely we're at the point where most people have reusable bags for shopping now. Can just wash cloth bags or give the large plastic ones a clean with disinfectant.

NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 27/03/2020 21:28

No. I guess if you're worried you could turn them inside out and then clean them but, if you're happy to clean tins then I can't see why you can't clean the bags. Saves them going into landfill.

maslinpan · 27/03/2020 21:28

The virus lingers for much longer on hard surfaces, so no I am not chucking out bags. Oddboots has a good way round it if you are worried.

LittleLittleLittle · 27/03/2020 21:30

Yes - I'm in the extremely vulnerable group. There are only so many bloody items I can clean.

Aderyn19 · 27/03/2020 21:31

I binned all the ones from home and the new ones I got today, I left in the car and won't touch them for a week until I go shopping again.

MaggieFS · 27/03/2020 21:31

Surely you can just put them well out of the way somewhere and use them for bin bags in a couple of weeks. What a waster otherwise.

user1353245678533567 · 27/03/2020 21:33

Didn't one of the BBC articles suggest not reusing bags while this is going on?

tulipsrus · 27/03/2020 21:34

No, but I have about 100 Ocado bags for when they’ll take them back

dudsville · 27/03/2020 21:34

We just had our first bagged delivery, proper long life bags. I wrapped them up together, put a rubber band around them. Will usethen in the future.

APurpleSquirrel · 27/03/2020 21:34

No. If you're that worried wash them.

Bargebill19 · 27/03/2020 21:39

Wash them and hang them out to dry.
Added bonus it will neighbours something to talk about.

elQuintoConyo · 27/03/2020 21:39

No. I use bags for life and disinfect them. Shop once a week, wash in the bath, peg out in the sunshine. Voila. Smell lovely!

Cuddling57 · 27/03/2020 21:42

No!

Santaclauswhosthat · 27/03/2020 21:48

I don't have any outside space.

OP posts:
Santaclauswhosthat · 27/03/2020 21:49

And I don't want them dripping around anywhere indoors.

ShakespearesSisters · 27/03/2020 21:54

I'm going to just stuff them all together in one bag like I normally do but make sure I dont use them for a while.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 27/03/2020 21:55

What plastic bags?

I take my own anyway.

LazyFace · 27/03/2020 21:56

The so-called single use ones? Nope, they're perfect for cat litter disposal. The long-life ones I just put away for next week.

Brenna24 · 27/03/2020 21:58

I am using cotton bags and washing them afterwards

eurochick · 27/03/2020 22:12

We are using trolley bags as normal - no cleaning or disinfecting. They live in the boot of the car for a week between uses.
