Should I go into work or not.

I went into work on Tuesday, I’m a TA and we’re open to a few vulnerable kids.

The teacher I was working with had a cold as in a runny nose, no symptoms of CV.
Neither of us have been into school since.

She has just messaged me to say that today she has developed a nasty cough.
I have been at home and not mixed with anyone.
I haven’t caught her cold and I’m not in anyway ill.

My next working day is Friday 3rd April, should I go in or stay off? Obviously if I develop any symptoms I won’t go in but not sure what I should do if I appear normal?

I’ll just add, I haven’t seen her since Tuesday,

I wouldn't no

I think you have to unless you or someone in your house has symptoms.

Thank you, although still unsure what to do.

It might be classed as misconduct if you choose not to go in..

If there’s no developments between now and next Friday I’ll go in as normal. She was in the building, so technically it would apply to everyone and not just me!

Oh I see what you mean!! Sorry! I get you now. Smile

You don't have to self-isolate if you were in contact with someone outside the home who developed relevant symptoms 3 days after you last saw them.

Brilliant, thanks for that advice MedSchoolRat.
