I feel like such a wuss, I know my ward needs me more than ever but my anxiety is sky high. I'm not sleeping or eating and only feel ok when exercising or cleaning.

I am hoping someone in my house has symptoms so I can have 14 days off to breathe -how awful is that. I have no compassion to deal with anyone merely fixated on this and hand ringing.

Anyone else?

I'm not as bad as you but I have certainly had my moments over the last two weeks that's for sure as have so many of my colleagues.
It's totally understandable- this is an unimaginable situation that we are having to deal with and we are being asked to put ourselves into real danger by not providing us with the correct protective equipment.
You are not alone in feeling like this. I really feel for you. Last week I left work in tears every single day.
Please don't feel you are alone in feeling this way Thanks
If it helps to chat about it I am happy to chat here. Have you spoken to your line manager about how you're feeling?
We have had amazing offers of support form the hospital psychology team - is this something you could access?

I asked for some leave next week just three days but they said no leave at present time. I understand course I do but I feel like I can't breathe

What area do you work in OP?

Ellapaella · 27/03/2020 16:29

They should be offering you some support with how you are feeling.
