Ocado Anytime Smart Pass holders - have you received priority access yet?

Email sent to anytime pass holders (at least) on Thursday

-
We have experienced such extraordinary levels of demand in recent days that despite our best efforts, we simply have not had enough capacity to serve all our customers.
To put it into context, practically every Ocado customer, no matter how infrequently they may have shopped previously, is now looking to place an order every week. At the same time, with families at home, the average size of orders has almost doubled. This means there is an unceasing level of demand several times our current delivery capacity.
We’ve already taken decisive steps to manage this demand, closing our doors to new customers, and limiting customers to one delivery slot every seven days. However, despite these measures, we can see that not all Smart Pass customers have been able to book a delivery.
As an Anytime Smart Pass member, we consider you to be one of our best customers, so we’ve set up a temporary priority queue to enable you to book a delivery slot each week.
How you will get access:
We have divided all paying Anytime Smart Pass members who joined before 2020 into a number of equal-sized, randomised groups. You will be placed in one of these groups.
At spaced intervals, we will give each group access to the priority queue, enabling them to quickly get in and choose a slot for their weekly delivery. We will do this by sending each group an email and text message between the hours of 9am and 5pm, starting tomorrow.
Once you get your email, you’ll have the rest of the day to place and check out your order. Please wait for your message, as you won’t be able to access the priority queue at other times.
Please be aware that there is still high demand for slots, and you may not see full availability for all time slots. But, because we can now prioritise the customers we let on to the website, and each customer can only have one slot, you can be confident that there are enough slots – and groceries – to go around.
Our developers continue to work on a better solution which will allow us to manage this in a simpler way but, for now, this fix at least helps us to prioritise you in the short-term. It makes access fair, and helps to keep traffic to our website at manageable levels, ensuring you the best possible shopping experience in the circumstances.
Please note: our usually all-knowing Customer Service team can’t set-up or change this temporary process, so they won’t be able to tell you which group you are in, or when you will get your email.
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience. We all understand the huge responsibility placed on us, and we are working tirelessly to help feed the nation at this challenging time.

Will be v glad to have a slot confirmed. I would have cancelled my Ocado subscription otherwise. As a customer who orders weekly and should also be screened, I was getting quite concerned what the next few months would be like.

Anyone had their priority access yet?

I havent received another email today so am and am confused. Have a slot booked for 24th, been in the queue and theres no option for me to even try to book another delivery..ie the 'book delivery slot' button is gone. I'm wondering if this means I wont be able to book any more deliverys at all then.

mangocoveredlamb · 03/04/2020 22:20

Same for me storyofcats, I guess this means we’re not in the most loyal camp. But I would really like them to say so.

Storyofcats · 03/04/2020 22:22

@mangocoveredlamb Yeah me too, it's v confusing after receiving the email last week about priority access once a week.

Vegansarefriends · 03/04/2020 22:24

Yes I will swallow the prices 🤷🏻‍♀️

choppolata · 03/04/2020 22:30

Website finally let me in, but no available slots for either my address or parents address (100 miles apart, both on same account)

AMBE123 · 03/04/2020 22:49

I finally got in! Had a 20 minute queue page, then managed to get in, delivery next Wednesday. Thought they had a nerve saying my 39p voucher from last time expired on 1 April though Grin

They seem to be short on cans, dry pasta, rice and anything anti bac. And there are limits on some things, like eggs and pasta sauce. But I managed to get what I need to feed us for another couple of weeks Smile

RichardMarxisinnocent · 04/04/2020 00:43

Am I doing something wrong? I can't even get into the website, let alone get anywhere near looking for slots or clicking on the calendar. I go to ocado.com and get a holding page that talks about the timeframes for editing, it tells me to click login and if I end up back on the holding page then I don't have access yet. Am I supposed to try every day to find out what day I have access? Or wait for an email? I also haven't received the email that others seem to have done tonight.

Milky77 · 04/04/2020 06:55

Are you an anytime pass member Richard? It's not clear from your post whether you do get sent back to the holding page?

Richard After moaning here I can now get onto the website but there's no slots. So I guess they are still working their way through granting access. Shame they've taken so long that there's nothing available though

happilybemused · 04/04/2020 07:16

From what I can assume Ocado are now booking for three days in advance.

There's no booking long term any more.

They haven't stated that but it's the case in my area.

NotGenerationAlpha · 04/04/2020 07:29

I have managed to get a slot on april 22 this morning! I’m in Hampshire and the drivers dispatches from Andover if anyone is interested.

wendz86 · 04/04/2020 07:34

I can only see 3 days but i have a delivery Tues so will see what happens after!

Pencilplantironingboard · 04/04/2020 07:34

I’ve got a slot I made 6 weeks ago and decided to keep because I wanted to get things for family and neighbours. But I’ve not been able to edit it and now it’s full of things I don’t need. I’m going to have to give loads back to the driver. If it comes that is.
I genuinely hope Ocado are helping vulnerable people. I’m buying for so many vulnerable people and it’s done nothing for me.
I’m never using them again after this. They are supposed to be an online retailer and they have completely failed at that. Sainsburys seem to have their act together and people can edit orders. If this delivery arrives I’m looking forward to never having to deal with the company again.

Tartyflette · 04/04/2020 07:36

I got an email yesterday saying i could only book one delivery every 14 days. I got a slot for April 15 and i think i can edit it as it says the cut off time is now 48 hours before delivery.
Hope so as I don't know what I'll need that far in advance.

wendz86 · 04/04/2020 07:57

I just got an email saying I will have access Tuesday ( when my delivery is coming ) and will be able to see 7 days ahead but won’t be able to book one for several days after any slots I have .

tootyfruitypickle · 04/04/2020 08:06

I've had no communications at all. But I am a smart pass holder and I've worked out, through trial and error, that I seem to have one priority access day a week (saturday). This allows me in and I can book a future slot. I can;t get in at all any other day of the week (so can't edit once an order is placed). Of course it may not be this simple....

Big relief if it works as can use this to get stuff for my parents, and I wasn't that worried initially about us but my dd has asthma and is 13 and after the news this week about that poor boy I've realised I need to be super careful.

cantdothisnow1 · 04/04/2020 08:12

I managed to get on yesterday and book a slot for April 13, I will try again next Friday to see if anything else comes up. There was loads of availability over the 3 days from 13th in the West Midlands but nothing beyond the 3 days.

If only they would properly communicate their system!

I have been able to edit existing orders with no difficulty though, straight on site to do it, but cannot see any more slots.

PerditaProvokesEnmity · 04/04/2020 08:14

I've received a slightly different letter from them. All the apologies but not calling me a "most loyal customer". I am to be given access to the site to find a slot - but it doesn't specify every seven days. (Tbf I didn't habitually order every week, just as needed, sometimes after ten days or two/ two and a half weeks.)

Weirdly, I fell asleep with the website open, filling up a new trolley, and the site is still open on my phone this morning! It's almost like having the app back. Though no slots visible. They say I should start checking from next week.

I'm having to tell relatives I order for that I have no idea when ... so I'm still checking other supermarkets intermittently.

WWIII queueing ...

Sjl479 · 04/04/2020 08:15

As someone stated above, you need to click into the calendar to book a slot. So you get to the usual delivery booking screen, and you can only see 3 days - can’t move right as normal to see more slots. But just above where you see the three days there’s a calendar. Click the calendar and you can see slots for the next couple of week. You can only have one delivery every 7 days but I’ve now been able to book 2 deliveries in the next 2 weeks.

Didkdt · 04/04/2020 08:16

@Pencilplantironingboard they aren't helping the vulnerable because they won't let us tell them we are vulnerable so we can't get a slot. Neither can my parents one of whom is also shielded.
I don't have a smart pass and I can't get on to book a slot

whensmynexthol1day · 04/04/2020 08:30

Anyone know why I can't see an option to book a delivery slot at all?
I have a delivery for Sunday. When I booked it there were no delivery slots available (I could only see three days). I've checked a couple of times since and nothing. Today there isn't even an option to look at the calendar!
Worried now that I don't have a future slot

cantdothisnow1 · 04/04/2020 08:33

Just had an email to say I will get a slot every 10 days and when I will be able to book it. It went into my junk folder so if anyone hasn't received check there. I can definitely live with that!

LefttoherownDevizes · 04/04/2020 08:34

sjl but for some of us there are no slots on the calendar at all

I too can't book a slot as I have a delivery booked for 16/4 but when I start shopping it then offers me book a delivery so I access it that way

Complete pigs ear

Mirrorxx · 04/04/2020 08:36

I had the email last week saying I would have priority it nothing this week. I think I will be giving up on ocado in the future

Storyofcats · 04/04/2020 08:44

I could cry. Yo be honest I'm not blaming ocado it's just a shit situation but I'm vulnerable and also cant go out as still unwell with likely CV after 3 weeks, although less bothered about me as partner can shop but the one thing I felt I could do for my parents who are both 70+ with health problems and also care for my sister with LD and epilepsy was to sort out their bloody shopping for them and now I cant I just feel really useless. I'm terrified of them having to go out.
