Viral load and coronavirus symptoms

There is a lot in the news about how viral load makes a big difference the the severity of coronavirus. For example a young healthy medic who is exposed to a high viral load from contact with lots of infected patients is as likely to get seriouly unwell as an older person who only gets exposed to a low dose from lower contact.

I am therefore wondering whether if for example you don't wash your groceries and get exposed to a low viral load this could be a good thing in boosting immunity amongst the young heathy population until a vaccine is available?

Given that the government expects most people to get it anyway is it not better to contract a low dose from post or other surfaces when you are self isolating anyway than a high dose from an infected person when you go back to work?

Please feel free to correct me though if you think this is a stupid idea!

Also if anyone knows of any research on this I would be interested to read it.

DH developed symptoms 10 days ago, the Dc and I have so far remained healthy.

He is mostly in one room away from us, but uses the bathroom, comes into the kitchen a couple of times a day to make tea if he is feeling well enough. We are careful with hand washing but I haven’t been cleaning door knobs etc.

The virus replicates itself in the body and most people dont know they have it untill it is in more advanced stage. Viral load will depend on the individuals immune system in fighting the virus and stopping it from replicating. Also continuos exposure over weeks to low viral loads may very well have the same effect in the end to getting a big load in one go. Do not believe in heard immunity misinformation. Best practise is to be overly paranoid, clean everything that comes from outside and dont leave the house unless wearing a hazmat suite and full face gas mask with seperate oxygen supply. At this point it would be the only way to prevent getting infected because in the UK shop workers and most ofthe general public are not wearing masks so there are many droplets and aerosolized particles lingering in supermarkets and public spaces. The particle can be as small as 0.05 microns so even FFP3 N99 respirators cannot stop that size. It should therefore be mandatory for those in supermarkets to wear masks to stop their droplets coming out in the first place. This is the case in most of the Asian countries that have stopped the virus from becoming widespread as it is in Europe and USA. Unfortunately in the UK people actually believe masks only protect healthcare workers, they do not protect the public.
