Hello all,

So we are currently using the below

Twinkl
Phonics play
Cosmic kids yoga
Joe Wicks PE
Audible - not really holding their attention.

Any other recommendations for learning resources that are age suitable (6)? Art & craft ideas would be good too.
Thank you.

Reception age DS1 has numbots but is finding it rather easy, but he's obsessed with numbers. I don't know if you work through it, it moves up a stage.

Carol Vorderman has just announced that her tuition service Maths Factor is totally free while schools are closed. I've not used it yet but it looks good and lots of maths games for KS1.

Rob Biddulph is posting drawing tutorials on his website twice a week and they are fab

Reading eggs has a free 30 day trial. It also has a maths section which is good. Nessy is another good one for reading which my son uses, not sure if they have a trial or not.

How much time do you have? Completely get everyone is busy so if you need things the stuff mentioned above is great, but for maths particularly hands on stuff is great. Board games based on a number grid, counting in multiples , objects, measuring stuff , find shapes around the house.
Depending on what phonics scheme your child uses , Ruth Miskin is doing daily RWI speed sound lessons . Oxford Owl has lots of free e books.

Shamelessly marking place! I have a 5 and 7 yr old and have massive lists of links but hard to know which are decent. Specific recommendations would be fab.

crosstalk · 25/03/2020 22:24

Mumsnet should be pulling this together.

I'm lost in a morass of recommendations and timetables. Eg when is David Walliams on? and the keep fit classes and music from Mylene Klass. Someone posted a timetable somewhere but I can't find it.

Also some idea of age range would be great.

CumbiaVillera · 25/03/2020 22:28

Squeebles are good fun. Lots of variations too, times tables, telling the time, punctuation, spelling etc.

mochajoes · 25/03/2020 22:53

@crosstalk I really thought a poster would tell me Mumsnet has already done this, & to check the site!!!

I'm feel bombarded with info watching the news, whatsapping friends & family, trying to book food deliveries & find toilet roll so not having to seek out this info is really helpful as I'm totally out of my comfort zone & don't have time to waste.

I'm going to check out all the recommendations & make a rough schedule. Thanks again everyone

I regularly use WordUnited's Free Resources Hub to download and print 100s of activity sheets and free learning games from www.wordunited.com/resources. Completely free and many learning resources for KS1. They cover literacy, numeracy, science, languages, history, geography and lots of arts and crafts!

I would just say you cannot beat nature. They learn things naturally in the outdoors, but caution is necessary of course. It also tires them out!
