To think it'll be harder and harder to leave the house?

I've been inside the house since Saturday evening, bar a short Sunday evening stroll during which I crossed roads and walked around cars to avoid people because I'm so scared about catching it and ending up on a ventilator (I'm 36 and admit I read the Daily Mail) or passing it onto someone elderly etc. I'm lucky enough to be working from home and I have a freezer full of stuff. I live on my own and am isolating alone.

I want to go out on Friday morning to get a few fresh items like bread, milk, spuds, ham etc and to drive by a couple of relatives houses to say a quick hello from the car. Is that okay though?! I'm scared that when Friday comes I will leave it, then hesitate on Saturday, then Sunday etc...

Plus what are the supermarkets like now as I've got no idea? Are they rammed? Are the shelves even stocked?!

Supermarkets are pretty much back to normal near me, and the shelves are stocked.

I went to the supermarket earlier! It was full of food and very calm. They were operating on 2 in, 2 out. It was nothing at all like last week.

What you plan would be completely safe, I agree I'd do it sooner rather than later though.

To think of how amazing it would be to do a food shop without worrying you're going to catch a killer virus the world has gone fucking insane 😢

Anyone else? Have you braved a supermarket yet?! I'm wondering whether to go to a small co-op where there'll probably be less people but small space and not all the things I need to keep me in the house for another 10 days. Or a massive supermarket where there's bound to be more people... but more food and more space too?
