Anyone else seen these? I went this morning and all the supermarkets have security on them and have strict limits on who can enter, one in one out type of thing up to a max of 30 - 80 etc depending on the size of the shop.
I just needed a couple of things for an elderly neighbour but had to wait for 30 minutes just to enter the supermarket. When I came back out the queue was even longer!
I do understand why they are doing it and when I spoke to the cashier he said it was also to try and get people to just go to the supermarket less often as people were coming in multiple times a day just to get out the house.
Having said that it is going to make it more difficult to shop for people like myself who are doing for their own family and for older neighbours an family as there are limits on what you can buy per person. If I go for my family and try to buy for 2 others households who are self isolatng and can't get delivery then I'll not be able to get everything in one shop.
Do you think they could create a system to let you buy more if its for another vulnerable household? If not this is going to put some off helping. Obviously I will do what I need to but I'm getting more calls every day looking for help.
