When will deliver slots be available again?

Any idea? Nowhere seems to have any available. I am in the vulnerable 12 week group and although I have plenty of food at the moment I'm worried about how long it will have to last. I don't have anyone to go to the shops for me. I know there is a local group helping out but I'm not sure how much they can do now we are locked down.

Delivery slots, sorry. I wish there was an edit button!

I think supermarkets are looking at this right now.

Sainsbury’s have a number you can ring to say you are vulnerable.

Oceans12isCrap · 25/03/2020 09:21

Asda release some every afternoon about 2-3pm.

Prime Now has been a life saver for my extended family. You may have to refresh a few times to get a slot, but you’ll get one eventually if you keep checking throughout the day.

Have you signed up online to get your Army food boxes?

Contact local butchers and grocers who are accepting payment over the phone and then are delivering locally.

Milkmen for dairy, bread, fruit/veg, some meats.

MonaLisaDoesntSmile · 25/03/2020 09:42

Doea anyone know about Prime, I have read that they release slots daily, but we keep on checking and none available? They are there but once you hover over them it just says they are not available...

howsicklyarsekissy · 25/03/2020 09:44

How does my mum
Sign up for army food boxes please?

Oceans12isCrap · 25/03/2020 09:50

www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable

ONLY for those who have received a letter saying they need to be shielded at home for 12 weeks.

Oceans12isCrap · 25/03/2020 09:50

You can register her on her behalf if needed @howsicklyarsekissy

PorpentinaScamander · 25/03/2020 09:50

What are army food boxes please? I'm worried about my elderly Grandad who lives in the middle of nowhere and keeps going out "for essentials" Hmm

PorpentinaScamander · 25/03/2020 09:51

Oh cross posted.

openupmyeagereyes · 25/03/2020 09:52

My PIL are elderly and self isolating. They now have access to delivery slots with Sainsbury’s so try to contact them via their vulnerable people contact line.

LuxLFC · 25/03/2020 12:17

On Prime Now constantly refreshing for an Amazon delivery slot. The morrisons delivery via Prime Now is on the way thankfully.

PorpentinaScamander · 25/03/2020 12:33

I just managed to get an Iceland slot for tomorrow. They seem to release them at 12ish.

Redglitter · 25/03/2020 12:40

I was online about 0230 this morning and there were a number of Asda slots appeared. I got one for Wednesday

Albern · 25/03/2020 12:44

I am a support worker who shops at Tescos for a house with 5 adults with LD and we have really struggled to get slots
We gave a click and collect for 31st and when I checked last night we had 42 missing items !

AlunWynsKnee · 25/03/2020 12:56

The number Sainsbury's have issued is useless BTW. It is either engaged or goes to a recorded message.

chocolateisavegetable · 25/03/2020 13:12

Don't forget the Morrisons £35 boxes. Not perfect as you can't select items, but would be better than nothing www.morrisons.com/food-boxes/

SilverySurfer · 25/03/2020 13:33

I've had Tesco deliveries for years, zero slots appearing on their website and just received an e-mail renewing my Delivery Saver Plan. Hmm

Makeitgoaway · 25/03/2020 13:53

This is part of what the new NHS volunteer workforce will be doing. You can register on the .Gov website for the support you need, including shopping deliveries.

Be safe OP and let the community take care of you. They've been overwhelmed by the response to the call for volunteers Smile

Lifesavesocialdistance · 25/03/2020 13:55

I don't know constantly getting thrown out of ocado queue

Serendipity79 · 25/03/2020 14:35

Tesco released some slots today and I managed to get one for 14/4 - they were all gone within about 30 mins.

Foldingstars07 · 25/03/2020 14:40

I just managed to get a click and collect slot for next Mon, when previously it was fully booked til mid april.

LuxLFC · 25/03/2020 14:41

@Serendipity79 what time did you see the slots?

Emmacb82 · 25/03/2020 15:02

I think a lot of it is luck and being on there at the right time. It’s taken me a week and a half of constant checking multiple times a day and night and finally got an Asda one last night for next week.

Tiredmumno1 · 25/03/2020 15:57

Logged on to Iceland and managed to find a slot so booked it, done my shop, then on to checkout, paid with card only to tell me that I either entered details wrong or check I have enough funds. Well I checked and it says Iceland is pending, so great now no food being delivered and god knows when I'll get money put back in.

Don't hold out much hope of getting an answer from them either, I don't know why I bloody bothered 😡

AmIAWeed · 25/03/2020 16:02

perhaps if families/households (with 2 parents so one can stay at home to watch small children) and no-one showing signs so not in self isolation cancelled their slots and went to the supermarket it would free the slots up for those who need it?
Quite simply online deliveries cant cope - there are masses of people in need far, vulnerable or showing symptoms that need them more and people should be giving them up wherever possible, not because it's policed or monitored but because its the right bloody thing to do.
