Anyone posting dried food to relatives?

Please help me as I am beside myself with what to do about my parents - they are in a semi rural location which doesn’t have the best facilities anyway. There are no deliveries and one parent is immunosuppressed and partially sighted. I have a small box packed with dried food and tins to support them - is it safe to go to the post office?

There are community groups all over offering to pick up and deliver food to old & vulnerable people, local councils are scrambling to get teams of volunteers to do the same. Small shops are offering delivery when they didn’t before and suppliers to the catering industry the same - if you look at local Facebook groups around your parents area or on Nextdoor website you will be able to access all of this (our local council is also posting links on their website - most will be). Your time is likely to be better spent remotely organising that maybe?

You can use a courier company like DPD Local. Buy the label through their website and print it, they will collect the parcel from you and deliver next day.
