just go away. Spread your negativity elsewhere. This is a chat not an exam.

We need to show the footage of overwhelmed Italian ITUs to hammer home the need for people to self isolate

I'm not sure that is going to help as literally all the footage I've seen from Italy shows mostly elderly people, so people will keep believing it's only the elderly at risk (I mean, not "only" as in they don't matter, but you know what I mean)

Mild = in bed for a week with severe flu.

Not in all cases, someone I work with tested positive for it and all she had was a very slight cough and a bit of a runny nose.

I do appreciate all of your replies. You are all such clever people and write beautifully. I wish I could.

It's a numbers game. In most people it's mild. However it's highly infectious so a lot of people will get it and the % of people who need hospital care equals more numbers than the NHS can cope with. Stay at home.

According to the WHO, the most common symptoms of Covid-19 are fever, tiredness and a dry cough. Some patients may also have a runny nose, sore throat, nasal congestion and aches and pains or diarrhoea. About 80% of people who get Covid-19 experience a mild case – about as serious as a regular cold – and recover without needing any special treatment.
