What’s the best thing to do in these particular holiday circumstances

I’m not sure of the best thing to do, advise please.

We booked a holiday for May half term to Menorca. We booked through ‘on the beach’ and opted to pay in instalments. I pay via my credit card for protection and we are insured.

Obviously now I would be surprised if we go and are assuming we will not. We have paid about 50% of the £1800 total.

The next payment is due in 10 days.

What’s the best thing to do? Do we just cancel it now? Or do we keep paying it until we are told we can’t travel and then (presumably) we are reimbursed either by insurance or the travel company?

Thanks

I would pay it so that you don't break your T&c's then wait to see closer to time. I've also booked with on the beach but not until end of July.

That travel guru reporter bloke who’s name I can’t remember was discussing this on a Radio 4 last week.
He said you should pay because if you don’t and the holiday is cancelled you will get nothing back

Right okay so continue the payments and see what the directive is nearer the time. I’m just concerned the travel ban will be lifted around that time and we will still be expected to go. Even with a small risk we wouldn’t want to at the moment as one of the family (DS) is asthmatic so I just wouldn’t risk it 7 weeks from now.
